TPA (Tampa) rental car return and free shuttle to/from Port

I will be flying into Orlando for a few days to see The Mouse, and then onto a 4-Day on the Inspiration and then back to The Mouse for another week. I was thinking about either booking a hotel the night before our cruise and parking, paying for parking at the port or returning the car at the airport and taking a cab to/from the airport. I was also looking for a local car rental drop-off and found nothing. All of those options cost me more money that I could spend on-board :cool:.

 

So, I searched this forum (using Google) and found a post from a couple years ago that said that Alamo offered a free shuttle to the airprort. I got on the phone with National and they told me that they have a FREE shuttle from TPA to the port that leaves every 5-10 minutes. They will also pick me up and return me to the airport after the cruise so I can rent a car for my return trip to Orlando :D

 

Since that post was from a long time ago, I thought that I would add this thread as a PSA.
