Get off the ship in San Juan?

My daughter and her new husband are going on the Adventure of the Seas for their honeymoon. Once they have checked in, can they still get back off the ship in San Juan? I heard some ports had changed this rule and wanted to make sure that San Juan had not!

They can still get off, but the AOS docks at the Pan American pier which is across the harbor. They will need to take a taxi to go anywhere. Also, since the AOS leaves at 8:30p.m., you need to be back on board by 5:30p.m. That leaves time somewhat limited.

Does anyone know if Seranade of the seas also docks at the Pan American Pier?

Thanks:)

Yes it does. All of RCI's cruises that begin and end in San Juan dock at the Pan American pier. Ships that stop there as a port of call use the docks in town at Old San Juan.
