Balmoral March 3 - 13

I have been on over 20+ cruises...Celebrity, Royal Cruse Line, Princess, First European, NCL and now Fred Olsen. This was by far the best cruise I have ever been on. Nice photos, made me wish I could have had a suite instead of the badly arranged outside cabin on Deck 3, with a bed that dropped 5 cm on one side! But then I would have missed out on the strong smell of fuel oil and the airconditioning which didn't work in my cabin, and the Filipino crew (whose cabins were also on deck 3) fighting drunkenly at 2 am in the morning.

Nice ship, good food but the lower deck cabins like mine are definitely not that good.

This is how 2 passengers on the same cruise can have a very different view of the ship.

 

What a great library and card room! So much space compared to newer ships.

Great pictures! Mine are OK but not as nice as yours. My second cruise and first time with Fred Olsen. I loved it. I look forward to being on board again this fall. I only hope they add CNN or FOX to the tv's. Even on vacation I'm still a news and sports junkie. The BBC is ok but not much news for us Americans and no sports at all. Also they need more variety in the free movies they show. I don't spend much time in my cabin but do like to watch some tv while I have my morning coffee and before I turn in for the night.

 

One other complaint. Add another blackjack table! The casino consists of one blackjack and one roullette table. I could never get a seat and there's certainly room for one more. Plus they'd probably sell more drinks.
