vacruizer Posted August 5, 2008 #26 Share Posted August 5, 2008 Thanks again for answering all of my questions, we are looking forward to the trip and the sail. It looks like the cruise lines have exclusive sales of their seats when ships are in port. It is about 28% more to book with Carnival than if we are on vacation, but I'm okay with that if it is good. I'll prep my wife for the bus ride. It would be nice if the boat went from the dock, but we will be okay. Did you take the same bus back after the sailing? It was the same two taxis that took the group each way. I'm sure they probably went elsewhere and took other passengers places while we were out sailing, though. The taxi ride is part of the excursion and about a 20 minute ride. I figured that alone would almost make up the price difference if you could book on your own and then pay taxi fare it would be another 10 or 15 each way pp.
bvocruise Posted August 6, 2008 #27 Share Posted August 6, 2008 I'm sure it is worth the price difference and you don't have to worry about the hassle of finding your way to the right place.
MD VBMom Posted August 8, 2008 #28 Share Posted August 8, 2008 Does anyone know if this is the same excursion that RCCL offers? The names are the same, I'm wondering if it's the same company. Thank you!
isles1 Posted August 10, 2008 #29 Share Posted August 10, 2008 Does anyone know if this is the same excursion that RCCL offers? The names are the same, I'm wondering if it's the same company. Thank you! I'd be curious about this too. Looks to be the exact same tour. I booked this thru RCCL for $79 p/p. I have heard wonderful things about this excursion in other threads as well. Should be a good time. But I am surprised as many as 50 people can fit on one of these things. Does anyone have any suggestions for things to do after returning to St. Thomas? We are docked until 6 p.m. and the catamaran should have us back to the pier by 2 p.m.
jeanied Posted August 11, 2008 #30 Share Posted August 11, 2008 Hi all, We're considering booking this excursion on the Triumph in September. Any idea how this trip compares to the Castaway Barefoot Sail & Snorkel to Shipwreck Cove? Just wondering if it's worth twice the price. Thanks! Jeanie :)
