Any advise regarding land tours, and things to know while on the ship would help greatly. Cruising on the sapphire. Thanks in advance To find more specific information about your upcoming cruise, head over to the "ports of call" forum (see above link called "cruise forums") and click on the "Alaska" section. You'll find lots to read about tours, Alaska, and the ship itself.
Cruisin' Chick Posted April 23, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 23, 2008 I'm guessing the ship isn't leaving from Fairbanks, but I think we know what you mean. If you're into ice cream, check out the Horizon Court around 3:30pm for the ice cream bar. On the day of your glacier cruising, make sure you're outside for the view. There will be a naturalist onboard narrating the action. Our Alaskan cruise was on the Sapphire when it was brand new, but we did the RT from Seattle. Colo Cruiser Posted April 23, 2008 #4 Share Posted April 23, 2008 In Juneau the "Taku Lodge" flight was incredible. :)
mii Posted April 23, 2008 #5 Share Posted April 23, 2008 As someone posted above the Ports of Call board and then to Alaska is a wealth of info there. I spend a lot of time on that site and there are some people on that forum who live there or have spent over 20 trips to alaska and have a lot of information. You will enjoy the Sapphire. Been on her. You can also find out about the ship by going to the princess web site and then go to the ship section and then scroll down to Sapphire. Have a great cruise.
