Celebrity Galaxy - Disembarkation in Civitavecchia

Our cruise ends at Civitavecchia and according to the schedule, the ship arrives at 4 a.m. in the morning. Does anybody know how does Celebrity handle disembarkation? I am in the process of arranging private transfers to Rome and I don't know what time should I tell them to meet me at the port. Do we get to request what time to get off or is it up to Celebrity to decide? Your info is very much appreciated.

When you do your Celebrity online check-in and select independent transfers, you can set your own time. Celebrity recommends 10:00 or later for Civitavecchia, but the private transfer companies I've contacted suggest 8:30.

 

If you are unhappy with the time Celebrity assigns, you can contact Guest Services on the ship to change times, and/or do self-disembarkation.
