Do you get liquor purchases after first leg of B2B?

Recommended Posts

A lot of people are going to say "yes" they will.

From my personal experience, "NO" they will not give it to you. The liquor will be kept until the end of the second week.

Now others will say to ask someone you meet on board the first week to buy it for you on the last night of their cruise and then give it to you.

I am reading on here lately that some ships are holding the liquor until the last morning and giving it out before disembarking.

So, that might not work either.

With RCCL, different ships and different Captains, do different things according to the CC passengers who post on here.. ;)

We recently did 3 x B2B on Celebrity and the DF was delivered on the last night of each leg, so there you go not a problem.

RoyBoy:D ;) ;)

Please remember that Celebrity is not under the same rules as RCCL even though they are owned by the same company.

I believe the OP is asking about RCCL ships. ;)

We were supposed to get ours on our b2b in January, but our cabin attendant swiped it. He got busted for it and I got $300 in future cruise certificates.

Most people, however, just to be sure, find someone who isn't doing a b2b and have them buy the alcohol for them, so they know they'll get it for their next leg.

The last 2 cruises I was on we were able to just take our alchohol purchased with us back to our room on the last night we were sailing. I don't THINK that was unusual.... not sure though. You have to pack it in your checked luggage that has to be packed the night before anyway. Another incentive for doing B2B... you can have your own alchohol the 2nd cruise! :)

Another thread broadcasting possible ways to circumvent the liquor policy ?

These threads do not help anyone, as RCL closes the loophole soon after hearing about it here.

The same thing happened after it was broadcast here that one could ring up credit card reward points by drawing $2000 @ day from the casino. Now everybody must pay a 3% fee because of tha abuse.

What do we gain by flagrantly broadcasting how to abuse the system?

Just wondering when RCCL would deliver on board liquor purchases if you are on a B2B?

Would they deliver to your stateroom the night before the end of the FIRST leg, or at the END of your B2B?

Make some friends on the M&M thread for your sailing and ask them if they will purchase some booze for you and give it to you the last night of the sailing, before they depart the ship.

That is what some people we just sailed with did. Worked out perfectly.

The last 2 cruises we have been on the same thing happened. Everyone whom purchased alcohol the last day of the cruise was able to take it back to their rooms themselves, straight from the store on board.

A) we did NOT have to pay a 3% surcharge on any money we withdrew from the casino when we were on board the Voyager 2 weeks ago

B) No one whom is anyone at RCCL is reading these threads. they have better things to do with their time.

C) blah, blah, blah, blah

IMMHO - I would think it is the "last night of your cruise" which would be the last night of your second week since you are on a B2B.

B2B's are considered two separate cruises, so it should be on the last night of your first cruise, but like everything else on RCI, I'm sure that it depends on which ship you are on. If you really want to be sure, do what others have suggested, ask someone on a single cruise to get it for you.

Can you actually trust strangers to give you the liquor back once you purchased it and then handed it over to them?

They have better things to do with their time? LOL I don´t think so. RCCL deinitely is monitoring these boards and it´s the best they could do. Where would they ever get information about their product from the customer point of view for free?

Back to backs are linked so that could very well stop a purchase from being delivered the last night. Also due to the link a last night purchase could also be "flagged" and the clerk not allow you to take it. Easiest and surest way is to, on the last, night head on down to the store with your new best "CC" friend and have them make the purchase. Fact is, it is possible to have 10 instances and 10 different results. As we all know there is not a ton of consistency with policy from ship to ship.

Just got off the Voyager on a b2b..........there was a note or letter in our cabin the first night of the first leg that said any liquor purchases would be delivered to the cabin the end of the second week.

While I think it is quite possible that RCI knows much of what is posted on here, I don't believe that, with a possible few exceptions, that the information that they gain rises to the level where they determine that there is a need to take dramatic actions. As far as the so-called 3% fee being charged in the casino, I have seen no documented record that such a fee is anything other than an unsubstantiated rumor. I am sure that the casinos onboard the ships don't need to read these boards to know whether or not they have a serious problem with people using their seapass cards to withdraw funds to increase their credit card points. I am sure that some may do so, but I also seriously doubt that such activity has reached epidemic proportions. If it had, it would probably be easier for them just to lower the cash amounts that they will advance on the seapass cards, than implement a service fee.

People just don't believe us. ;)

I stated in my above post, "from my own experience". We also got the letter in our cabin and could NOT take any liquor back to our cabin on our last back to back either. It was held and delivered the last night of the second week.

Also, RCCL definitely reads these boards. In fact, they monitor them quite well. ;)
