Hello from the Amadaggio

Hi Everybody, We are sailing on the Rhine, on the way to Antwerp. The internet in the cabins is fast and free of charge. The computer screen doubles as a TV screen. Modern technology at its best. The weather is iffy - we spent two days in Amsterdam before embarking and it was gorgeous. Now it is chilly and in the high 50s, but with a few sweaters, quite comfortable.

For those who were asking, we were docked at the main passenger terminal in Amsterdam - a few blocks from the train station. It is easy to walk to the station, but I would not attempt it with luggage - with all the cobblestones, it is not too managable. We took a minivan cab from the hotel, which was about half a mile away - cost about 15 Euros amongst the four of us.

Benita,

Glad you're having a good time. We got off the Amadagio on the 20th. It was wonderful. The tulips were great. Willemstadt was cold and windy, but very scenic.

Make sure you do the optional tour to Brugge. We heard mixed things about the optional to Brussels.

We mainly sat in Stoyan's area for dinner and breakfast, so please tell him hello from the guy who took his picture carrying the desert.

Enjoy yourself. We did.

Pete
