engagedatsea Posted October 5, 2004 #1 Share Posted October 5, 2004 I am starting to look for invitations for my May 2005 re-sailing wedding aboard the Carnival Legend. Save the Dates have already been sent. What are the other cruise brides and grooms doing for invitations?
kadiebug12 Posted October 5, 2004 #2 Share Posted October 5, 2004 We did message in a bottle invitations through South Shore Designs. They are expensive, but for a small wedding the are sooo worth it! The paper and craftmanship is of the highest quality and they are all handmade. Our order was placed and we had the invitations just a few days later and they were amazing (we ordered a sample a couple of months before). We got to write on the invitation whatever we wanted. For location we decided to put the ships name, the deck and then on the next line the latitude and longitude the should should be at when we wed at sea. Every single person has called, emailed or written a response to our invitation (on the response card) about how wonderful and unique our invitations are. They are like a favor and an invitation all in one and they've really gotten people excited about the cruise. My Grandma liked it so much she refuses to send in the response card because she wants the invitation in tact to take with her to show off when she travels this coming summer! You can see the invitations, order a sample and see prices at http://www.southshoredesigns.com, we were very happy with the service we received from Jeff (I think he owns the company) and the responses we've gotten from guests over them made the price worth while. Good Luck!

jerseygirl3 Posted October 7, 2004 #4 Share Posted October 7, 2004 We got our message in a bottle invitations from http://www.bottlemeamessage.com We were extremely happy with how they turned out. We chose the wording, and it was put on scrolled paper, and rolled up into glass, corked bottles. There was sand and various tiny seashells also placed in each bottle.
