Can anyone tell me how close to town centres the ships dock in Sicily (Messina), Ephesus (Kusadasi), Athens (Piraeus) and Heraklion (Iraklion), Crete. any info appreciated thanks in advance

If you're thinking you might try to just hoof it, know that Kusadasi/Ephesus doesn't really have a "center" like most other cities. You absolutely can't see a thing without transportation. Not only are all the sites a good ways away from the port, but they're far apart from each other, too. FYI!
