Priceline Hotel in Miami

Recommended Posts

We need one room for two adults and one child in Miami pre cruise. I noticed that Priceline rooms are for 2 people only. Is it possible to get a room for 3, using Priceline? Any information would be helpful.

Get a room for two. You can request double beds after you make your reservation. Sometimes they honor this request and other times not. Worse comes to worse, someone can sleep on the floor. I booked the Radisson and we had four people.

Forgot to say that no you can't get a room for three people through Priceline.

We got the Hyatt Miami with priceline. I called and requested two double beds and got them without a problem.

The Hyatt is sometimes available using downtown 3 stars. Try $35 for your first bid. Good Luck

We got the Sheraton Biscayne Bay and then just called them and request double beds. it was no problem. Actually, we've never had a problem with Priceline.

As long as you're bidding for a 3 or 4* hotel in the DT Miami (NOT South Beach) area I believe you'll be fine for getting a room w/2 beds. Just contact the hotel directly (not the chain's central ressie #) after making an accepted bid and specify what your requirements will be for your stay. We stayed at the Hyatt prior to our cruise for 2 nights and had absolutely NO PROBELM getting 2 beds for the stay.

Good luck.

Just double checking something here - I'll be bidding on Priceline for 1 night before and 1 night after my cruise (2 separate bids).

The bid price is per room and not per person correct? I'm a single and want to make sure if I bid $35 for 1 night it doesn't turn into $70.

TIA for your help

Yes, the Priceline Bid price is for the room (not per person). I recently bid 35$ for both a pre and post cruise (seperate bids). I got the Radisson and the Hyatt. Very pleased!

Thanks for the info.

I tried $35 for a 3 star hotel in downtown Miami for October 29 and was turned down. Can't try again for 72 hours. After 72 hours, should I increase to $45 or continue to try for $35? What are my chances of getting a room for $35?

Personally, I'd try $35 again. I bid $35 and was turned down so I bid $40 and got it. We are staying at the Radisson downtown Miami on April 8th. Other people did end up getting it for the same day for $35. You still have plenty of time to get booked. There are 3 of us so I called the hotel directly and asked for 2 double beds. Of course, I could hardly understand the accent of the person I talked to on the telephone so I sure hope we get 2 beds. I'll let you know when we get back.

Joanne, if you read the website, www.biddingfortravel.com, it gives information about available rebids in the DT Miami area. The website is a little confusing and will take some time to read, however, it is an extremely valuable tool when using Priceline. After you've read the information on how to rebid, you'll see you have several rebidding options, which will allow you to do it now, rather than waiting 72 hours.

That being said, I wouldn't bid any higher than $35 for a 3* in DT Miami for the end of October. You have plenty of time and that is not a high season. We got 3* Radisson for $35/night for our 2/8/04 cruise, however, we waited until December to book it. This is just my personal opinion. Good luck.

You can rebid right away. Just add N. Miami to your areas. Don't worry. You can't get anything there because there are no 3 star hotels there. Increase your bid to $40. You should be accepted at that price.
