gsocruisers Posted October 5, 2004 #1 Share Posted October 5, 2004 I read somewhere that there is a Christmas store in Key West. Can someone tell me where it is? If others have been there I'd love to hear what it looks like inside & what I can expect. GSOCruisers
southernmost Posted October 6, 2004 #2 Share Posted October 6, 2004 There is a Christmas store in Clinton Square Market on Front Street and Mallory Square. This is close to where the cruise ship docks. Mostly, they sell ornaments and it's an outdoor "straw" type market...Carribean feel.:D A good place to go is Fastbuck Freddy's on Duval Street. It's Key West's version of a quirky department store with a lot of good taste. They have some really nice and unusual ornaments. It's on the corner of Fleming and Duval Street. Have fun! twinkletoes4445 Posted October 9, 2004 #4 Share Posted October 9, 2004 There was a Christmas shop near where the ships dock. I can't remember the name of the building (there are two floors), but it is right next to the open market. They had all sorts of ornaments, but I noticed they had cruise ship ornaments, with the name of a Celebrity ship on them (they must pull out the ornaments according to which ships are in port). We walked out the back door of this building, and walked a bit toward the water. A hotel was on our left, and if I remember correctly, there was a tank of some sort on our right(maybe there were dolphins in it?). At the end of this walkway, and to our left, was the Celebrity ship. This shopping area had quite a few stores. I bought some pictures from a shop (located in a kiosk at the front of the building). There is a cute cat/dog store also...with all kinds of pet things. I bought my daughter this really cute t-shirt of a cat snorkeling. There's also a kiosk in the middle and we bought a slice of key lime pie that was really tasty!
gsocruisers Posted October 9, 2004 Author #5 Share Posted October 9, 2004 I thought I had read something on the boards about a 2 story bldg. My DIL & I have a bet going on who loses the most weight B4 the cruise owes the other one $100 for the Christmas store. The store doesn't sound as big as I had hoped. That's okay I plan on winning & I'll find SOMETHING to spend the $$ on GSO Cruisers

I thought the ship ornaments were really cute. Have a good time! :)
