Question, DAWN and Balcony w/3 year old

We're traveling on NCL Dawn 6/8. My cousin is sharing a balcony cabin on deck 8 with her ds, 3 years old. She is a bit concerned about the three year old on the balcony. Are there adequate locks on the balcony doors? Suggestions on how you keep your little ones safe in a balcony cabin.

Thanks!

Terri

We have never sailed on the NCL Dawn, but I can tell you on the NCL Star and the NCL Sun the balcony sliding doors were almost adult proof too.. LOL.. They are not the easiest doors to open.. I honestly couldn't imagine a 3 yo being able to open them.

Many childproof things are (almost) adult-proof also. Look at some of the aspirin bottles and prescription meds!

I actually thought about that before I posted.. LOL.. some of them are easier for kids to open than for us. Really though.. the balcony doors we have had were so heavy I just cant imagine a 3 yo being able to open them. I may be wrong.. but I hope i'm not. :)
