S & S Travelers Checks?

Am I correct in assuming that I can use TC for cash deposit on my s & s account? Hope so since I just got some while I was at the bank getting my Birth Certificate! Nothing putting the cart before the horse, eh?:p :D

Carnival's website under FAQs states that travelers checks are treated as cash and can be used for S&S and can also be cashed on the ship.

We have cashed them before at the Purser's Desk with no problem then you can apply that to your S&S if you wish.

I use Travelers Checks for my Sail & Sign Card almost always (tried buying OBC in advance once and did cash once) they treat it like cash and any amount unused will be refunded to you in a check on debarkation morning.

And yes you can take the check and cash it at the Purser's Desk prior to leaving the ship if you'd like.

Our experience is exactly as stated above. We have been on ten cruises and have used them each and every time for our sail and sign account. Have also cashed them in the casino. Never a problem.
