CruiserCanyon Posted April 4, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 4, 2004 We recently cruises on the Explorer, and at bingo they made up stant up if we won and dance, or else no prize, DO they make you do this on the other cruises? Youd be suprized how crazy people would dance for $43.76 on a $50 card!
girlzillla Posted April 4, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 4, 2004 Yep, they did it on Navigator and on Mariner. We also had "scratch n sniff" bingo cards too!!! All in seriousness, they made the winner (wasn't ever me) do the "Bingo Boogy" but the winning pot was always over $200. CruiserCanyon Posted April 4, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted April 4, 2004 Well this was the first night, so everyone was exploring the ship. All in all I won 2 games, about $300, 2 keychains, and an ugly green ring playing bingo.

CruiserCanyon Posted April 4, 2004 Author #6 Share Posted April 4, 2004 Anyone know if they make you do this on other cruise lines?
cruisin'gal Posted April 4, 2004 #7 Share Posted April 4, 2004 Yes you need to be LOUD, I yelled BINGO, everyone around me heard but the bingo announcer did not and kept calling numbers. When I finally got his attention he said he did not hear me so I lost $256.00, it sucked, I was pissed and will not play again. Otherwise the cruise was great and had a blast, cruisin'gal
snowman1 Posted April 4, 2004 #8 Share Posted April 4, 2004 3 years ago I won $9,978.00 at Bingo on the Splender. I didn't dance but I am sure everyone on the ship heard me say "BINGO". Having fun is part of it. Remember you may never see these people again so who cares if you have to dance or make a fool of youreslf. Life is too short not to have some clean loving fun. jalakim Posted April 4, 2004 #9 Share Posted April 4, 2004 Two years ago I won the free cruise bingo on the carnival, but there was also another winner. They made us draw balls and he got the luxury trip for two and I got thanks for trying but your a loser. I was not impressed to say the least!!! <IMG SRC=http://images.animfactory.com/animations/animals/fish/two_fish_kissing_md_clr.gif>

cuppy Posted April 4, 2004 #11 Share Posted April 4, 2004 If they want to give me big bucks, a free cruise, or the upgrade to the royal suite - I'll shake my butt to the bingo boogie After all the majority of the people I won't ever see again. I won't say all because we have made several friends on cruises who we are keeping in contact with now. mom-of-3 Posted April 4, 2004 #12 Share Posted April 4, 2004 Can someone tell me the rituals for the bingo game on the ship? I am curious to the cost of the cards, how many games they play in a session, or is this an hour or half hour session? What type of cards to they offer? Its been a few years since i played and have not ever played on a cruise. Thanks in Advance for your help!
cuppy Posted April 4, 2004 #13 Share Posted April 4, 2004 Some cruises I have been on charged $35 and the EOS charged $50. You get a strip of 3 paper cards that have a cut out section over each number so you can poke at it and bend it backwards to mark your cards. You can not remove the numbers or else the card is disqualified. They usually play five games per session. Each game is a single game, only once did I play a game that started off asking for a single bingo then went on for a triple bingo. For the big prizes like the suite upgrades and the free cruise, if more than one person wins they draw cards or flip coins and such to see who gets the prize. The other person is out of luck and gets nothing. IMHO they should do something for the other person, maybe one person gets upgraded to the royal suite and the other gets an onboard credit, or upgraded to a balcony or something. If two people hit the 7 day cruise, couldn't they give them each a 3-4 night cruise instead. MJL Posted April 5, 2004 #14 Share Posted April 5, 2004 In addition to the free cruise, the big prize money rolls over until the final session of the cruise. For this session last week on the GOS, they filled the theater with players and on-lookers. The final prize was $6,900.
