Parsman Posted May 6, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 6, 2008 I do wish Fred. Olsen (and other cruise lines) would stop using the word "guests" for their customers. Why has this replaced passengers? If I were a guest I wouldn't expect to pay! I haven't had a free cruise to date. It's all a bit too cosy a title for a commecial deal. What do others think?

mufi Posted May 7, 2008 #4 Share Posted May 7, 2008 On the other hand, if you were a guest you would have to put up without complaint with all the Fred eccentricities. But when we pay, why do we have to look at that picture (you know the one) on the Black Watch? David.

Guest Anorak33 Posted May 8, 2008 #6 Share Posted May 8, 2008 There is certainly some weird "ART" on Balmoral, but that ain't my pet peeve. My pet peeve is the way my bed sloped in my outside cabin, the left side was about an inch and a half lower than the right side (which was up against the hull). And the cabin steward could not succeed in making the bed so that the bedclothes stayed on for long, I usually woke up on the bare mattress which wasn't nice. I never had that problem before but it may partly have been due to turning over a lot trying (unsuccessfully) to get comfortable. Anyway for what I paid I can't be too fussy.
