mrsmagnolia Posted May 8, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 8, 2008 I was just wondering about the availability of soda's in suites, this is a first for me, really anticipating a great experience, but does the butler bring soda's free of charge at your request? we like our club soda's, and if the seas are rough...switch to GINGER ALE !!!! thanks for any info/advise. emptynest1 Posted May 8, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 8, 2008 I don't recall soda's being delivered, but we had cappuccino every day.. Check on the website under butlers duties. I don't think soda's are free, but they will deliver them.
Conrycol Posted May 8, 2008 #3 Share Posted May 8, 2008 Club soda/giner ale should be in your mini-bar. Nothin's for free though:D .
kitty9 Posted May 8, 2008 #4 Share Posted May 8, 2008 Even when you're in the PH, nothing is free, not even bottled water. That's the one complaint I have with X, when you're paying that much for a suite. They should at least include water and soda.
TRadle Posted May 8, 2008 #5 Share Posted May 8, 2008 The charge for the soda in the mini fridge is the same as it is anywhere on the ship. In our suites on Royal Caribbean they never charged us for the sodas from the mini fridge. I don't know if they just didn't do it or if they don't do it....but we were pleased!:D
kitty9 Posted May 9, 2008 #6 Share Posted May 9, 2008 When we've been in the Royal Suite on RCCI, we always were charged for anything taken from the mini frig.
biker1972 Posted May 9, 2008 #7 Share Posted May 9, 2008 On RCI the larger suites have access to the concierge lounge with free drinks. Nice suite perk. On X, a butler and free cappucino. Hmmmm.
peteranddan Posted May 9, 2008 #8 Share Posted May 9, 2008 Don't expect much in the way of extra ammenities because you are in a suite. You are simply paying for extra real estate, not many special features. We loved our RS to Alaska last summer, but found our butler to be useless.... You had the wrong (and apparently a poorly-trained) Butler, and I am very sorry to hear that! :(
