minniemom Posted May 9, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 9, 2008 WE will be on Star in June. Do they have movies everyday? How do you find out what movies are playing? Good ones, old ones?? We did Disney, and they have GREAT movies. We did Celebrity, and they didn't have good movies.. So just wondering about Princess?
Cruisin' Chick Posted May 9, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 9, 2008 There will be at least one channel on your in-cabin tv devoted to movies. Some recent ones (like ones out on dvd) and some oldies. On our last cruise, there were ones based in Hawaii as it was the Hawaiian cruise.
Julia’s Journey’s Posted May 9, 2008 #3 Share Posted May 9, 2008 Sometimes they also showed movies in the theatre during the day. Depending on the ship some have MUTS:D
paul929207 Posted May 9, 2008 #4 Share Posted May 9, 2008 We were on the Star for five weeks ending last Sunday. In addition to the movies on the tv in your cabin, there was a movie every afternoon in Princess Theater.

FredS Posted May 11, 2008 #7 Share Posted May 11, 2008 The ship's daily paper will list the times and location for the movie. Sometimes the Princess Theater and sometimes the Vista Lounge. Got off the Star on the May10 and during the 23 day cruise they showed movies like: Even Money, Next, The Holiday, Cassandra's Dream and others. minniemom Posted May 11, 2008 Author #8 Share Posted May 11, 2008 Thanks, my boys are wondering if there will be any good movies on board. DS 15 DS 18. Last cruise was Disney and so they got to watch National Treasure before it was released in the theaters, so they are thinking all cruise ships might have movies like that... NOPE>>>>> I know that NO ships but Disney, would show Disney films. Well, at least that i am aware of.... But Thanks
Cruisin' Chick Posted May 11, 2008 #9 Share Posted May 11, 2008 Actually on our last Princess cruise, "The Incredibles" was played on the in-cabin tv. In English and in French (there was a large group of French-speakers on board so one channel was devoted to programming and movies in French). minniemom Posted May 11, 2008 Author #10 Share Posted May 11, 2008 Oh good.. That is good to hear. NOT that they will only watch Disney, NOT true... It is just that on our last Celebrity cruise, they movies choices, were NOT very good ones at all so I just wondered what Princess had...
