FiggyWig Posted May 10, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 10, 2008 Hi, anyone out there with experience of cruising the Med in August. We are booked on X Solstice for 2009 (our 1st ever cruise) and was wondering just how many kids are likely to be on board to keep our 12 year old company - hopefully, since its mid school holidays, he wont be on his own. Any info gratefully received. Figgywig
CeleBrat Posted May 10, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 10, 2008 We'll let you know shortly. We are cruising the Med with our 5 and 7 yr olds in July. CeleBrat
azbaby8062 Posted May 10, 2008 #3 Share Posted May 10, 2008 You might want to check the Roll Call area for Solstice. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=479 I joined the roll call for my cruise on Carnival and there are at least three kids my son's age just on my roll call. Good luck and enjoy your cruise. I am sure you are going to have a blast.
rebeccalouise Posted May 10, 2008 #4 Share Posted May 10, 2008 There were approximately 200 children on our last cruise on the Millenium (western Europe July24-August5th, 2007). There were at least 20 kids at any given time in with my son (he was 6). Summer cruises attract families. My son was in with kids from as far away as Hong Kong. He made great friends. He and the little girl from Hong Kong ran around Pompeii together all day. They climbed the wall together in Dubrovnik and explored Venice together. It was great! littlestars Posted May 11, 2008 #5 Share Posted May 11, 2008 The UK schools will still be on holiday too although the Scottish schools go back towards the end of August but the English schools are not back until September.
