Rare itsanita Posted May 20, 2008 #26 Share Posted May 20, 2008 The address is 723 Pandora Ave. Here is the link to map quest. It looks like more than just a casual walk. http://www.mapquest.com/maps/723+Pandora+Ave+victoria+bc/
Steve H Posted May 23, 2008 #27 Share Posted May 23, 2008 Many locals go to John"s Place at 723 Pandora near City Hall . John"s is near the corner of Douglas and Pandora but beware get there with time to spare as there is always a line-up to get in.
Putterdude Posted May 24, 2008 #28 Share Posted May 24, 2008 How close is John's Place to the Fairmont Empress? It is about a 10 block walk in either direction. The Blue Fox is about 5 blocks. In both cases they are pretty short blocks and it is level walking.
quincytoo Posted May 30, 2008 #29 Share Posted May 30, 2008 You guys are great, thanks for all the suggestions and the maps@! We have a coupon for Blethering Place, so we thought we would go there for tea/lunch in the afternoon. What about breakfast? We are staying at Laural Point and will be driving out of Victoria on a Sunday morning. We need to head to Sidney, arriving by 10:30 am to take the ferry to Anacortes. Where could we stop for a "local" breakfast. Not real interested in eating at the hotel. Where do YOU go for breakfast? thanks again for all your suggestions. We locals go to John's place for breakfast :) Best breakfast in all of victoria but line ups do happen on weekends if not everyday ....go early or make a reservation. Blething Place isn't great for tea really hit or miss. Try White Heather Tea room located at 1885 Oak Bay Ave 250 595 8020. It is a cab ride from Laurel Point but worth it :) Make reservations.
