daisy7889 Posted May 14, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 14, 2008 We are on the Celebrity Mercury this July going to Alaska and wondering if anyone knows which pier we sail out of, Ballantyne or Canada Place? Is there a big difference in the time it takes to get to one or the other? Thanks for your help.:)
c-to-sea Posted May 14, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 14, 2008 Celebrity and RCCL use Ballantyne - check here: http://www.portvancouver.com/vanAlaCruise/content/schedule/index.php
eetonaee Posted May 14, 2008 #3 Share Posted May 14, 2008 Last year the Mercury was at Canada Place - I guess they've been moved to Ballantyne this year. Ballantyne is about 10 minute drive east of Canada Place and although the port area is OK it is not in a neighborhood that you want to walk to, take public transit to or stay near. Take a taxi or cruise ship transfer from your hotel.

Putterdude Posted May 15, 2008 #5 Share Posted May 15, 2008 Your cab fare from the Ballantyne terminal to most downtown hotels should be about $15.00.
scottbee Posted May 15, 2008 #6 Share Posted May 15, 2008 Celebrity and RCCL use Ballantyne - check here: http://www.portvancouver.com/vanAlaCruise/content/schedule/index.php It's easy to get confused as Celebrity Mercury and Infinity docked at Canada Place for the early departures of the season (up until a couple of weeks ago), but now all RCCL ships (which is RCCL and Celebrity) are operating out of Ballantyne
