does anybody know which docks viking uses for budapest, amsterdam,Vienna, Melk, passau, Bamberger, nuremberg.....etc? It seems as though, at many ports, after shore excursions your on your own time to explore, which is fine with me, but in order to develop a game plan you have to know where your starting from:eek:  :) .

thanks in advance

In Amsterdam most riverships dock either west or east from Centraal Station. The captain will know this shortly before arrival, maybe the night before.

It depends how many ships will be there.

If no big cruiseship is in port, also the Passenger cruise-terminal can be used.

All of them arenot that far from city-center.

I would also like to know where the Viking line departs from in Budapest. My in laws will be borrowing a few hotel stay points to stay at Le Meridien in Budapest the night before and wants to know how easily they can transfer to the ship.
