Semi-formal is Tuxedo/Black Tie; Fancy That!!

Monday, I must need to stir the pot... casually speaking... call it a crock pot.

But - I noted recently online the 'strict rules' of formal wear wherein reputable sources related the strict rules of the evening wear game. Just what I thought! (I'm just sticking with the guy's stuff here; keepin' it simple)

Formal = white tie, white low waist coat and tails

Semi Formal = dinner jacket/tux with black cummerbund or low waist coat.

So much for the nostalgia and finery of cruising...

WE DON'T REALLY HAVE A FORMAL NIGHT!! :D

(DW will be crushed... :(

The world's gone to H in a handbasket... But those that 'REALLY' don't like formal wear ought to be releived. Don that tux and cummerbund and you're... just semi-formal... ;)

And there's always NCL and Oceana (tut, tut) :D

Heck, in 30-50 years cruise line formal may include jeans... Does that make current wearers 'cutting edge', hmm... Move on to shore excursions!

When we cruise, DH wears white tie, with a white low waist coat and tails.

He makes Dracula look like a slob.:D

He also brings a white silk dinner jacket for "slumming" on the other formal night.;)

When I see some ladies designer jeans approaching several hundred dolars a pair - you have to wonder if in deed they are formal wear.

No I don't. NOT formal wear.

I love jeans - comfortable - like the following: A woman can wear flawless large carat diamonds and emeralds with nothing else but whipped cream, and it might be EXPENSIVE and TASTY - but definately not formal wear! :D
