Nymue Posted May 19, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 19, 2008 We are sailing on the Caribbean Princess on June 22 from the Brooklyn Pier. Can anyone tell me just how good a view we will get of the Statue of Liberty of should we do a Harbor Cruise, Pre or Post, to get decent picture? Thanks, Anne
smeyer418 Posted May 19, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 19, 2008 view from the Brooklyn Cruise terminal. You past closest to it on the starboard side. You get the bst and least expensive view from the Staten Island ferry...which is free,...both the Ferry and the view.
Debathome Posted May 19, 2008 #3 Share Posted May 19, 2008 If you go to Battery Park pre cruise, there is a free Staten Island ferry that takes you right by the statue, does a loop and returns to the terminal. There is also a ferry that takes you to the Island but you will have to pay for this. You will get a nice photo although quite a distance away on your cruise past Lady Liberty. Be sure to check out the Thermal Suite, we LOVE it :p Hugs, Anne Once again you are right on, we splurged this time and booked a PH Suite for that exact purpose. I fully expect that Barbie will be there every single day. That is one of the things on cruising that she loves the most. Me, just give me a casino that is always open and I am happy. tvaud Posted May 19, 2008 #9 Share Posted May 19, 2008 Anyone know which bridges we sail under? Leaving New York/Brooklyn, you will pass under the Verrazano Narrows Bridge that links Staten Island with Brooklyn.:)

Thanks, Anne Anne, you will get a great view of the Statue of Liberty from the starboard side of the ship. You should be able to take plenty of great pictures from there. If you are lucky enough to have a starboard outside/balcony cabin, you will also get a nice view from your cabin. Have fun.

Thanks, Anne - Never sure of these things :o Hi Anne, I think I am correct in this statement but if you are on the ship and are looking at the front of the ship, the starboard is your right side. I hope I am correct. Bob

inspfitz Posted May 19, 2008 #14 Share Posted May 19, 2008 Rule of thumb; port (side of ship) and left have same amount of letters in them(as you face the front of the ship).
