Rental car pickup after cruise

I'm on a repositioning cruise ending in Miami. I'm going to want to rent a car after the cruise. Do any of the car rental companies pick you up at the port or do I have to get there myself?

 

If I have to get there myself is it best to go to the airport, or are there closer locations?

Alamo and Hertz have cruise port shuttles. Not sure about the Budge and Enterprise or some of the other bigger names.
