Marley,

In Tahiti we dive with PROFFESIONAL SHARKS!! Realy!! The dive master has a chain glove with a fish head or part and the sharks come and take it from him.

We are about 20' away and in comes 10-15 sharks to feed. They do this every day and the sharks don't attack the divers!! I think the sharks have their own UNION by now!! And since these are French sharks good retirement bennifits!!

We have done 6-7 shark dives. In Moorea the TIKI dive is the best!!! Lot's of lemon, white tip and black tip sharks. Way to cool! Don't worry diving in FP it is the BEST!

Hi, Holly and Hal,

It was nice to meet you - I'm glad we were able to catch up on Huahine. We were a bit embarrassed that we couldn't find the back of the ship at sail-away (we didn't realize that the Panorama opened back up) - so it was good to catch up on Marc's tour.

It was indeed an amazing trip. I, too, would be happy to answer any questions - I don't know that I'll get around to a full review. This was our honeymoon, so am happy to answer any questions from that perspective - it was a wonderful experience for us both.

We ended up booking all of our excursions (except Marc's) through Princess for the convenience - and we loved every one of them. Most of the tours were small or broken into small groups.

Hal, that's terrible news about your camera. I'll take a look at our pictures from Marc's tour and see if we have any good ones - we only brought one underwater camera that day and had used most of it by the time we got to eat, so we only have a few.

It's hard to come back to reality, isn't it?

Doug

  • 3 weeks later...

We are going to FP in March and booked our airfare thru Travelocity (Tahiti Nui) for under $700 round trip from LAX (cheaper than Princess). WE are looking for recommendations for two days post cruise in Moorea - anybody have a favorite?

Thanks for all the great info on this site.
