Is there a beach right near the port? If not where is the closest beach?

Kontiki, Mambo, Seaquarium are not far. All are actually the same beach but different areas. Check out this site. There are some pictures of the beaches.

 

Cab fare is about 15.00 each way. $3.00 PP to get in and this will get you a beach chair.

The beaches in Curacao are quite small. Double check your locale before you head out.
