23sluvsg Posted May 23, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 23, 2008 I am going on a 4 night Bahamas cruise on Sovereign of the Seas. Does anyone have a menu?? Which night would there be the formal dinner? We are taking on our own sodas. Do they have ice machines/buckets for ice in your rooms? What about cups? Thanks so much!

We are taking on our own sodas. Do they have ice machines/buckets for ice in your rooms? What about cups? Thanks so much! We were on SOS last Aug. The 2nd night was formal night (this was when we were in CocoCay for the day. If I can remember, the menus we had were the Bon Voyage, Captains Gala, Vanetian Feast and Feast of Nations. The menus have changed slightly since then, but here are some of the things I still have saved from planning our cruise. Captains Gala Entrees Wild Mushroom Alfredo Pasta Sea Bass Duck Eggplant Tower Filet of Beef with Peppercorn sauce Venetian Feast Entrees Rigatoni with beef, sausage and peppers Tiger Shrimp (This was wonderful!) Chicken Marsala Vegetarian Chili Lamb Feast of Nations Starters Fired Roasted Red Pepper Hummus – with roasted marinated zucchini and toasted pita Shrimp Cocktail Melon Proscuitto Spinach Sweet Potato Dip – served warm with crisp tortilla chips Roasted Pumpkin and Apple Soup – with crème fraiche and fried sage Onion Soup – Caramalized onions in beed broth with Gruyere toast Chilled Forest Berries and Buttermilk soup – a combination of fresh berries blended with buttermilk Salad Greek Salad for the Table Entrees Mahi Mahi Salmon Pasta Turkey NY Strip Indian Vegtable Curry Deserts Brownie Madness Key Lime Pie Banana and Crunchy Nut Parfait Sugar Free Key Lime Pie Low Fat Strawberry Shortcake
alwalaska Posted May 24, 2008 #3 Share Posted May 24, 2008 I forgot your ice question. You can ask your room steward for ice. The ice bucket they provided for us was metal and did not have much ice at all. From what I understand, you can request a larger ice bucket from room service. Our room did not have a refrigerator in it. We were in an interior cabin and it was extremely tiny. There was not a lot of room to store things. pmfan Posted June 8, 2008 #5 Share Posted June 8, 2008 Just call room service and order a bucket of ice. They will deliver a large plastic ice bucket. Then ask your room steward to keep the larger ice bucket filled with ice. :D
