Here is ther link for the discount, it is even better than the Military or the AAA rate! It took an additional $20.00 off the cost of my room / plus we get the Atlantis passes at a value of $105.00 per person!

*Keep in mind the evergy surcharge ($8 per night) and the gratuity ($4 per night)

Does anyone know if our two children will need day passes to get into Atlantis? They will be 3 and 2 at the time of cruising.

And for anyone who has booked a room with Comfort Suites, do they give discounted rates for children this age, or will they be free? Thanks for any advice!

Do I have this correct...by simply booking a room at the Comfort Inn, my friend and I automatically have a pass to Atlantis? No additional cost for a day pass? (I understand food and drinks are additional.)

Just one thing to mention about Comfort Suites... make sure you book the one next to Atlantis!!! It is on Paradise Island. There is one "downtown Nassau" and they DO NOT have the deal about passes.

I booked the CI directly on line for one night. I called them direct in PI and was told it's a 2 night minimum. I questioned that I was able to book online for one night and she said they have to honor that. They don't advertise it, but will honor the one night stay. I think its because they know it's cruisers.

If you plan to use/enter the Atlantis recreation facilities, then yes, they will need a day pass.

As for Comfort Suites, when you book a room, you get up to four passes. Children under 16 stay for free, those 16 and older have to pay an additional $40 a night (I believe that was the cost - but don't quote me on that). So, to answer your question, there are no discounted rates - they would be included as part of the room.

Hope that helps.

But Al's Gal, don't get day passes....book a room. My kids are in the same age bracket as yours. The day passes are $107 per adult and $88 for children. So for my fam of 4, it was cheaper to get a room and get the braclets with the room than to get "day passes"

The kids are no extra charge in the room.

  • 3 weeks later...
We booked at the Comfort Suites last September on our Disney cruise. We loved it, as did the 2 15 year old girls with us. We ended up paying about $175 for the room after the additional housekeeping charges. We spent all day in the pools. especially the lazy river--which as the PP said, isn't so lazy--it was awesome.

Look for the family hamburger deal. For $25, you get four good sized hamburgers with Lettuce and tomato, two large servings of fries, and 4 sodas--excellent value compared to the other food costs there.

Which restaurant had this deal? Almost sounds to good to be true! I called Atlantis and they said, "No Way, one hamburger will run you about $12". We will try to "smuggle" some sandwiches over or snacks, but if we stay all day I'm sure a hamburger would be great if it's that cheap. Anybody paid this for a family deal recently?

We stayed at Atlantis this past Feb. and they do offer that hamburger combo at the food stand by the pool in front of the Royal Towers, close to the water slides and lazy river. You can also get free refills on the soft drinks, they are self serve like at many fast food rest. We had a fabulous time, in fact are planning another visit in Oct. Have fun!

Yea! Free refills! Now I won't need to smuggle cokes! I looked on a website and there will be 5 ships in port that day. It will be PACKED! Looking forward to it.

If 5 ships are in port remember that all those ships have packages to Atlantis and their's are guaranteed to get in. Atlantis sells day passes only up to a certain limit. If the ships pass that limit then no passes will be available. The room at CS does guarantee you a pass. Just some info.

With 5 ships everything will be packed - just be aware.... that's over 10,000 people crammed into a small area all trying to have the best time.

Not every cruise ship passenger will be at the Atlantis as you elude to by any means ! But, if someone wants to be assured a spot at the Atlantis, they are wise to either secure a room in advance there or at the Comfort Suites :D

Did not mean Atlantis only... I meant everything within a couple of miles and Cable beach. When you have more than 10,000 people show up its gets congested! That's what I mean.

Perhaps I misunderstood your thoughts, but the topic was mainly about the Atlantis and CS.... not the island in general ! There is enough room for 10k + passengers in Nassau and more, you just need to plan in advance !

No problem I was just stating that that was a lot of people.

Booked a 1 nighter at the Comfort Inn thru this website. Click on the select a rate program and choose AAA or 50+ discount and you'll get approx. 20 bucks off the rate of $175. Just as an FYI our TA said they usually don't check AAA cards at check in.

I just checked the rate for when we will be there and it said $254, and that was with the AAA discount. We are going in January. Does the price vary that much depending on what month you go or am I doing something wrong?

We were in Nassau during spring break and the room was going to cost almost $400 for the 4 of us. I've read here that the cost was as low as $179 for four.

Seems like Mon - Wed. stays are lower....Thurs - Sun rates go up !

As for the AAA rates... I personally would be cautious if not being entitled to those rates. I would NEVER make a statement like "They rarely check for your membership".....Nor would I ever suggest to a client to take this approach... to many things could happen and or the liability issues between a TA and their client. IMHO

Alright, don't flame me here, just clarifying...folks on here are booking a room with CS, to get the cheaper day passes to Atlantis, because by booking a room you get 4 passes to Atlantis? My family and I would love to go, but only in port from 1pm to 8pm on a Friday. I'm just making sure I understand you. Do I book a room, but not actually stay there?

Yes, you can book the room and use it if you like....When you check in you will be given wrist bands that allow entrance to the Atlantis and all it's ammenities. We always use the hotel room after visiting the Atlantis to shower up and head back to the ship. With the short time you are in Nassau and that the pool area and slides close at 5pm (I believe), I don't think the costs of the CS would be a good value for you....Keep in mind that even if you get into Nassau at 1pm, probably will be more like 2pm before you are off the ship and possibly be at the CS... that only leaves you approx. 3 hrs. to enjoy the water activities....But then again you could stroll around the Atlantis or make a donation at the Casino with the remaining time left before you have to head back to the ship. Also remember that usually you need to be back onboard the ship no later than 30 minutes before departure (we usually try to be back onboard 1 hour before sail away).

When will you be in Nassau? I think 5pm is during the winter and 7pm during "summer".

Check out times here: http://www.atlantis.com/water/pools.aspx

People go thru CS to save. It depends on your dates as to the cost.

Thanks for the kind responses. We will be there in Nov. Also, they don't question when you check in and out the same day? How do you all do that exactly? I would assume the Cs people know what folks are doing, so I shouldn't be nervous about the whole thing. They are still getting a full nights pay, so works out good for them IMO.
