Post Cruise Shore Excursion Bayonne, Newark, New York?

We will be returning from the Oct. 13, 2008 NE/Canada cruise on Celebrity's Constellation on October 30. Our flights out of Newark are late in the afternoon. At this point, Celelbrity is not offering a local excursion with airport drop off.

 

We would welcome any suggestions for a site or tour that we could visit in the 5 or so hours we would be in the Newark area. Or perhaps someone has used a private tour company you could recommend?

 

Is it possible to take the Jersey ferry to Ellis Island or the Statue of Liberty in that time frame?
