Nitro...what to do?!?

We are coming on NCL Sun this weekend. My parents and I want to snorkel. Where is the best place to do that? It will be my moms first time, but my dad and I have gone many times.

Yes I would also like to know where a good snorkeling beach is....preferably within 2 miles walk of the ship and maybe with a little shade???(Yeah I know I am asking for a lot!!) :D

There are various tour operators who offer snorkelling tours to the reef. It is advisable to take one of these, for approx 20 USD per head, as there is normally a lot of boat activity between the shore and the snorkelling areas. You may book them at the Cruise ship Pier booths or come into town and find someone there. For beginners I would recommend Mayawal Tours or Let's Go Snorkelling.

Peanut princess. The tour operators are reliable and you are only 10 minutes from the cruise ship pier by taxi. They will tell you there times and then you can fit in a tour to your schedule.

do you think we need to book ahead, or will we be okay getting on a snorkel trip in town? is town where mahajual beach is? if my DH and i go on a snorkel trip, will my MIL and SIL feel safe sitting on the beach there by themselves?
