julpet01 Posted October 11, 2004 #1 Share Posted October 11, 2004 This will be our first cruise.......do they give you a map with each deck layout so you can find your way around?
MrPete Posted October 11, 2004 #2 Share Posted October 11, 2004 Yes, as soon as you board. And they are displayed all over the ship by the elevators.
sea_u_onboard Posted October 11, 2004 #3 Share Posted October 11, 2004 There should also be a couple in your cabin. Check by the vanity in the slots.
derf5585 Posted October 11, 2004 #4 Share Posted October 11, 2004 I downloaded the deck plans. Inputted them into my palm. And am able to have a portable map that way.
Kelly43 Posted October 11, 2004 #5 Share Posted October 11, 2004 Good idea! I would love to have a paper copy well before I board though... Also, I know it has been posted, but can't find it. How do you get your countdown clock on the bottom with signature....would help easy instructions. Thanks everybody, happy sailing..:p

sea-n-ski Posted October 11, 2004 #11 Share Posted October 11, 2004 I think the deck plans listed in the carnival brochure are easier to figure out than the ones given out onboard! I always rip the pages out and bring'em along! Have fun on your cruise! Laura
celbercrz333 Posted October 11, 2004 #12 Share Posted October 11, 2004 Carnival Fascination gave us a small booklet that was handy and easy to carry around. We did Celebrity Zenith last year and they gave us what amounted to a brochure with deck plans. Either way, it will take you about a day and a half to know where you are and where you are going on a ship. I saw many similarities to how both Fascination and Zenith were laid out. Both had a pool on an upper level with a level above that looking down into the pool. Both had casual dining around the pool and nearby. Both had a level with shopping and casino and specialty bars. I think it must get easier to know your way around with each new cruise you do. The more you do, the more you get used to the way a ship is planned when built. -Jo Celebrity Zenith 10/2003 Fascination 9/2004
ArkansasFish Posted October 11, 2004 #13 Share Posted October 11, 2004 I have been on 3 cruises, none of them gave me the deck plans after I got on the ship. They have a side view of what is on each floor close to the elevators. Take your own, I wished I did this past time as I could never find one place. I kept asking and asking and no-one knew where it was.
mohavemommy Posted October 12, 2004 #14 Share Posted October 12, 2004 I suggest bringing the brochure with you for better deck plans then what they provide.

BeetRed Posted October 12, 2004 #16 Share Posted October 12, 2004 When we went on the Holiday in 2002, they offered a tour of the ship by one of the entertainment staff. It was quick, but very helpful. Hopefully they will have a tour on the Triumph next month!
