Transport Muroran to Tokyo

Hello again. Recently I received some wonderful info here about flying to Tokyo from Muroran. Thank you for that. :) It now seems that we may infact not be in such a rush so could take a longer and hopefully less expensive form of transport. This would also let us see far more of the country than flying over it. Could anyone offer detailed suggestions please for such a trip to be taken in May next year? Perhaps there might be a way to hire a driver and van for the trip. Jennie

A good travel agent would be very helpful to answer the questions you have asked previously and again now.

It says Sapporo to Tokyo by air is +/- 90 minutes; 11 hours by train.

Thanks skf. We have been able to extend our holiday and can now stay on the ship all the way to Alaska so we don't need to transfer between Muroran and Tokyo now.I appreciate your help though/

Glad to try to help our neighbours down there.

We're thinking of a possible 22-holiday vacation for Sept.2009, Vancouver to Anchorage to Beijing on Diamond Princess. If we move to an inside cabin we can add an extra week at the beginning for little extra cost. We have not been to Alaska yet, nor Asia.
