my silly plan that works (for me)

I am not an artist. But that doesn't matter. I take a plain piece of paper and make cartoon-like pictures of the clothes in my wardrobe. I take this with me when I shop so I know what I have and what I need to get. I use colored pencils (and sometimes crayons, lol) and color in my pictures closest to the color of the actual item. On our last cruise, last month, we did a golf package after we got off the ship and so we needed a variety of clothes. I made an itinerary on my computer for the whole vacation. I looked at each day and decided on outfit 1, 2 or 3 with a, b, c's added on to change the outfit for the occasion. I use this system all the time. I used to do it for my kids when shopping for back to school clothes. It might look dumb to see my little pictures, but it works!

sounds like a great plan too me. it sure would make it easier, like you say, too know what you have and dont have. i might give it a try. the only problem is i cant even draw a stick-man so i will be in trouble for sure :D . thanks for the great idea.

That's a really good idea. I can't tell you how many times I've gone shopping and can't remember what I needed to go with what. I just might take the time and do that. If anything it would be alot of fun!! Another reason to go shopping!!
