Guarantee Cabin

Have booked a guarantee cabin on QM2 and have been told may not be allocated until embarkation. How do the porters know where to put our luggage without cabin number?

We've also traveled with 'guarenteed' cabins. The luggage tags you'll receive will be barcoded. If there's no cabin # on the tags, the staff will read the barcode and your location will be in the computer. So no worries there.

 

With a Holland America cruise once, I just called the cruise line directly a few days before the sailing and they had my assigned cabin already in the computer. I know they always say 'it could be assigned at embarkation' but i think they normally do it at least a few days in advance. Your Travel agent could do this for you too, if you used one.

You could try the Voyage Personaliser from the Cunard website. We are in the UK and have booked a guarentee. Our cabin allocation is shown on the Voyage Personaliser.

I noticed some pax got their cabin assignments when checking their bags. The porter checked the pax list.
