jdblakeslee Posted June 17, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 17, 2008 I know to be prepared for rain while in Vancouver and Victoria, but I'm wondering if someone can give me some honest advice about seeing Buchart Gardens in the rain...is this doable or would it be best to save it for another trip, hoping for clear weather? c-to-sea Posted June 17, 2008 #2 Share Posted June 17, 2008 If you are coming between now and September, the chances of heavy rain are much less. There might be a shower or two. In anticipation, Butchart Gardens have trolleys with umbrellas all over the gardens. Sometimes the colours can be more interesting on a duller day. You should plan to go - I'm sure you will enjoy them whatever the weather. There are also a number of places where you can get in out of the rain for a few minutes. Langley Cruisers Posted June 17, 2008 #3 Share Posted June 17, 2008 ...is this doable or would it be best to save it for another trip, hoping for clear weather? We have a saying on the West Coast - if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes. ;) Seriously, please don't worry about the weather. It's not something you can control anyway, so come and enjoy the Gardens whatever the weather. Just bring your small, collapsible umbrella and dress in layers. The Gardens are wonderful any time of year.
