Pomperaugrr Posted July 30, 2010 #51 Share Posted July 30, 2010 It is true that the Oceanographic lab is gone. During the recent dry dock renovations, the space was utilized to expand the Aquarium Bar area. Here's a tip: When going through the Windjammer, head toward the back to avoid the crowds. There are numerous food stations with similar and different offerings toward the back. Eric
Ocean Boy Posted July 30, 2010 #52 Share Posted July 30, 2010 Why is the helipad forward on these ships? That makes little sense. It makes perfect sense. It is easy to close off access to the bow of the ship thus keeping passengers out of the way. Secondly, once you see a Voyager class ship you will realize that there is no other deck space where a helicopter could possibly land.
craftycruiser27 Posted July 31, 2010 #53 Share Posted July 31, 2010 The tickets are for the ICE SHOW. FREE SKATING is scheduled at designated times throughout the cruise and it's listed in the daily activities (the Compass). NO tickets necessary. Just show up -- sign a waiver and get your skates. We got our SHOW tickets early as they were being distributed on the promenade at an announced time on either day 1 or day 2. When we arrived at studio B for the show, there was a long line waiting to get in (everyone with tickets in hands), however we noticed that the seating was only about 3/4 filled at the most. We did the 3pm show. --------------------------------------------------------------- They will make an announcement to get the ice show tickets,,,then you wait for an hour to get your tix,,,,totally unnecessary,,,,day of show just go to customer service desk and ask for a couple of tickets,,,they always have extras,,,,its just another tactic to have you cattle in one place then you have to pass thru casino to get back to dinner or something,,,total sales tactic the wait for the tix

music Posted August 1, 2010 #56 Share Posted August 1, 2010 In regards to the casino on the Explorer... do they have a package? Extra $$ for slots or Blackjack? I'm not sure what it is, I think I saw something about it in a thread and now I can't find it.The poster said it was the thing to get because it was a good deal.
