Thanks for sharing. Your pictures are beautiful and your day looked to be perfect. Could you tell me where you found your napkins? We are keeping with the ship theme for everything from our save the date letters, to our invites, but I have not been able to find napkins.

Congrats ~ Lisa

Hi Lisa,

First all, thank you! And our day was truly perfect, I couldn't have dreamed it to be better! :)

As you could tell, we stuck with the ship theme from beginning to end as well. We ordred our napkins from www.invitationsbydawn.com. The ship logo that we chose was 2603C. The basic beverage napkins start at $17.00 for 100. And unless you are having hundreds of guests, that is more than plenty. We ordered the 100 and we had 59 guests. We have so many leftover napkins. I'm not sure if any were even used, but they are one of the things I actually remember seeing on the table during the reception and they looked better than I thought they would. I would order the same ones again if I had it to do over.

Good luck! :)

Bekah, congrats!! You looked absolutely amazing and I loved seeing the pictures, everyone looks so happy :).

Thanks for all your tips over the past few months! I really loved your napkins so I think I will be checking out the website you posted. And thanks also for the tip on quantity, that helped.

Best of luck to you both in your new lives together!

Also, where did you get your cake topper, it looks great!!

Hi Emily! First of thanks! :)

Our cake topper...the "S", I got off ebay. I don't remember the seller. I got it a long time ago, it was one of the very first things I bought for the wedding. I bought a few extra stems of my blue silk hydrangeas and cut the stems. I got floral stem cake picks (in the cake dept. of Hobby Lobby) and my "go-to" girl stuck them in the top layer, as well as our "S". It certainly exceeded my expectations! :)

How were you able to have your wedding in the main theater? Was that something you arranged in advanced?

Hi there! I guess we were just lucky! ;) We did not request the lounge. We did have the largest wedding of the day. Perhaps you could make that request if you wanted a particular room, although I am not sure if they guarentee any rooms.

Good luck and happy planning! :)

Bekah,

I am getting married on the conquest 8/26/09. Thanks so much for your ideas. Do you mind if I ask who married you...was it a male or female? Do you have any other advice for a bride-to-be. I am super nervous and its still a year away. Promise me the time goes by quickly because I think I am going to go crazy waiting the next 13 months. Thanks again. E-mail me anytime with advice.

First of all, congratulations on your upcoming wedding! We were married by a female, Jane, she was our coordinator and officiant. She did absolutely an amazing job and you would never have known she had just met us the same day.

And yes, time goes by so quickly! Enjoy each and every step of planning because your day will be here before you know it! We also planned for 13 months and I remember wondering when my day would ever come! And now we've already been married for more than 2 months!!! It flies!

If I can help you with any other questions, let me know!

I absolutely love your detail of the wedding. What did you do that same day? After taking pictures and stuff did you go relax? For dinner that night did you still wear your dress and then did the party continue on? I would love to know.

Thanks! It seemed we took pictures forever! When we were finished we went to our stateroom, unpacked, and assembled the OOT bags for all of our sailing guests. We had 24 sailors and we had a large area in the dining room for all of us. I had bought a white sundress in case I wanted to change out of my dress and I am so glad that I did. My head was killing me from the bobby pins and the veil, plus it was June in Texas...it was extremely hot. I happily changed into the sundress for dinner and we brought all of our OOT bags to dinner and gave them to our guests. It was nice because it gave us an opportunity to personally thank each one for coming along on our wedding cruise. Any other questions, please feel free to ask.

I LOVED your pictures and review!! Thank you so much for posting it!! I had a few questions if you don't mind though!

- What things dod your "go to gals" change?

- What were the 4 tracks for you ceremony? And did they play the whole song, or clips? If clips, is that all you had on the cd?

- What was on the lists you gave everyone?

- Did the guys bring on tuxes or rent them from the ship?

Thanks!!! :))

Congrats!!! What a great review! It sounds like you went in with the right attitude and was able to really enjoy it all!

I loved your photos and especially your flowers... do you mind telling me where you got them done? I love them!!

Oh... forgot to ask:

I noticed flower petals on the runner ~ did you have a flower girl spread those or already have them pre-spread. I'm assuming they were silk? Oh, and I loved the runner... again, where did you get it done? or did you do it yourself?

Thank you so much!!

Great review. It is so nice to hear from someone after the experience. I have a question about your parents and grandmothers. It sounds like you had a special entrance for them. My family is very traditional and wants to be escorted to their seats like they would be in a church. But I'm not sure how this works on the cruise ship. I have about 60 people attending, so I'm expecting to be in a big room. Could you explain what you did? Thank you.

Thanks for the review..it was really helpful!!

Do you have any tips you'd like to pass down. I just want to make sure I can have everything I want..and I am just not limited to only what the wedding department may mention. I'm looking for some ideas for additional decorations...or anythign to spice it up! Just trying make sure its as close to what I'd like as possible..

Congrats again!!!

First, thanks everyone on all the compliments. I apologize, but I don’t get on very often anymore, I stay very busy being a Mommy now! :) I’ll do my best to answer all the questions.

My GTG’s completely changed the entire ceremony setup. They set it up with everything facing towards the crowd, completely opposite of traditional, my girls knew how I’d want it. They also removed things that they knew I would like (Carnival’s flowers, cake topper, and champagne flutes, etc…)

Music for the ceremony: they played the full tracks or faded them out where appropriate. I had “You Raise Me Up” played for the entrance of my Grandmother and both Mothers, “The Wedding Song” by Kenny G for my entrance, “Standing Right Next to You” following the sand ceremony, and “I’m A Believer” for our exit.

I’d have to find all those old lists, I am sorry I cannot remember that part.

We didn’t do groomsmen, so the only men in tuxes were my husband, father, and father-in-law, and they all owned tuxes.

Congrats!!! What a great review! It sounds like you went in with the right attitude and was able to really enjoy it all!

I did all the flowers myself. Yes, I was shocked myself. I had never attempted anything like that so I was very pleased with how they all turned out! I had the silk petals pre-spread, we did not have a flower girl. And yes, I painted the aisle runner myself. It really was super easy!

I too, wanted to keep some tradition in my wedding. I had the song “You Raise Me Up” played. My father escorted my Grandmother (his mother) to her seat, then my father-in-law and mother-in-law walked in, and then my father escorted my mother to her seat before returning to walk me in. It worked out great.

Congrats!! Your pictures are BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

Advice…it is YOUR day, MAKE it what YOU want it to be! Go with the flow, stay organized, and make sure you add all the personal touches that you want to remember from your wedding day.

Bekah,

Truly spectacular photos and heartfelt congratulations on your marriage! Hoping you might share where you ordered your aisle runner from, it's lovely!

I painted the aisle runner myself. It was actually super easy and I am so glad I did it.
