Nintendowan6 Posted June 23, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 23, 2008 I've read a few places that have said "Make sure you follow SHIP TIME". What is ship time? Does this just mean normal time?
PhoenixCruiser Posted June 23, 2008 #2 Share Posted June 23, 2008 Occasionally the ship's time will be different than what the port follows especially during DST. They warn you to follow the ship's time and not the clocks you see in the bars/restaurants/shops while in port. Otherwise you might miss the ship  ###
98Charlie Posted June 23, 2008 #3 Share Posted June 23, 2008 Some ships will change time as they cross in to different zones. You'll get a note with your nightly turndown when this happens. Other ships will not change from their homeport time for the entire cruise. At any rate, the time on the ship is the "ship's time". Just keep your watch set to that. If you take a local excursion (not ship sponsored) make sure the tour operator knows when you want to be back at the dock. Charlie
