balcony vs suite

Hey yall. We are thinking of getting a 11 suite on the Legend for a 7 day cruise and i was wondering just how much BIGGER it is than a balcony room?? We will be traveling with 2 toddler so I am thinking the extra $$ will be worth the space...we have always had an oceanview before and were very cramped..just thought I would ask.

A Cat 11 is about 275 sq feet plus 40 sq ft for the balcony.

A standard balcony cabin is about 185 sq ft with a 40 sq ft balcony... The difference is 90 sq ft... pretty sizable...

If you were cramped in the oceanview-- get the suite.

The baclony cabin will be almsot identical to the oceanview--except you have the balcony to escape to.

Try to get either cabin 4228 or 4237. They are aft wrap balcony cat 11 suites. We had 4228 on the Miracle and it was great. There are 2 separate rooms - a living room and a bedroom. There's also a vanity room and a walk-in closet. The balcony is huge and is partially covered. The other aft wrap balcony suites have uncovered balconies. I'm not sure how many people can be in the aft wraps. You'll have to check that out.

 

We did a "cabin crawl" and everyone thought our suite was the best. Even people who were in a Cat 12 Penthouse suite and a couple who had a Cat 11 aft wrap on deck 6 above us.

 

If you choose a cat 11 aft wrap balcony, the ones on deck 5 are only 1 room, not 2.
