I love Cruise Critic. So informative. Booked cruise when senior discount was not available then found in Cruise Critic board that discount is now available. Cancelled old booking and made new one. Huge savings.

When we plan a cruise, we normally book from 4-6 months in advance. We go to a travel site like Yahoo travel, check cruises for the month we are interested in, check all lines and 55+ rate, and sailings that offer the Sr. discount are noted. We always try to sail with this discount. Another way is to check directly with the line. CCL doesn't show this on the web, but if you type PSE in the booking, it will show if available. RCI has a box to check for 55+.
