norma41 Posted June 29, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 29, 2008 Can anyone advise transport from Venice back to Rome if we do a round trip flight to Rome. We are a family of 14 with lots of lugguage with the oldest at age 74 and the youngest 15. If we can avoid lots of transfers this would be great. Any suggestions would be appreciated. If you are saying you want the easiest way, just book an open jaw ticket. It is not difficult. Then you can fly into your starting point and out of your debarkation city. That would be the easiest. If you MUST fly to and from Rome, maybe you could take the train from Venice to Rome for your flight home. Janet
Eileen G Posted June 29, 2008 #3 Share Posted June 29, 2008 we did that iteneray last year on the Emerald. It cost the same to fly into Rome and out of Venice as Rome round trip. We flew Delta. We booked early and it was around 1100$.
nparmelee Posted June 29, 2008 #4 Share Posted June 29, 2008 Are you planning any pre or post cruise time? We're doing a Venice to Rome next May, we're round tripping to Rome as we'll be spending a few days in Tuscany before an extra couple of days in Venice and then a few days in Rome afterwards. We've seen similar prices to VCE and home from FCO as a round trip to FCO.
