Report on Oscar (Limon)

Got a phone call from Oscar last night. Was a big suprise considering he was calling from Limon, Costa Rica.

We talked for quite a while, but the news of use to folks here is that he now has his own van, and has been granted his own license and plates through the association which controls and certifies tourisim drivers. Up until this point he was driving for someone else under their licence, if I understand that correctly.

He wishes me to thank all the folks who have been booking with him who helped make this possible.

It is still difficult (not impossible) for him to use the computer to communicate, as it seems to not be very reliable, so phoning him on his cell is still the best way to get a hold of him.

He continues to pursue establishing his own web site.

One of his five kids is now in college and the youngest is two now.

Thanks for this information. We have Oscar booked for Feb. How many people does he take in his new van?

Grace.....he says it will hold 14 plus him, but he also said it was a Hyundai van. Probably a model not sold here in the states, and Im sure not as big as a Chevy, Ford, or Dodge 15 passenger van. So 14 is only doable if no one goes to the buffet before the trip.
