bermuda in October

We sailed to Bermuda Oct 14-21 last year from Bayonne aboard the Explorer of the Seas.. The first 2 days were pretty chilly around the pool deck. The air temp was not bad--but, the wind made it uncomfortable. Hurricane Raphael blew by the day before we arrived. The Enchantment of the Seas from Baltimore had to leave a day early to beat the storm out to sea.

There were few issues from the storm once we arrived, except the St George's ferry did not run the first day and the water was cloudy the first two days. It was not great for snorkeling.

Bermuda has so many things to do. There are several threads that list the many things to do. It depends on your interests.

We are beach people--so we visited two of them. We like lighthouses so we visited two of them, also. We bought a three day transportation pass. We used it for all of our travel on Bermuda.

We like history and visited Hamilton to see the Parliament building and Fort Hamilton. They had a nice free art exhibit in the Hamilton city hall.

This was our second visit and we ran out of time to see all of the things we wanted to do.

Have a great trip. :)
