bigred4770 Posted July 5, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 5, 2008 Hi all. I am leaving tomorrow on the Glory (wanted to fly in a day ahead but couldnt swing it). I have a question in regards to luggage tags. I have printed them and have them ready but according to Carnival I should have them on my bag prior to leaving home - which would mean prior to checking them in at the airport. I dont want them to get ripped off, since they are just paper. The question that I have is should I attach them at home? As well, do they have staplers and tape at the pier or do I need to bring these with me. Thanks for the help!

JessicaRN Posted July 5, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 5, 2008 We packed a roll of clear packing tape. At the port we attached the tags. No worries about them being ripped off or blocking the airline tag leaving my bag winding up in who-knows-where. :) HTH! - Jess
cheeseheads1 Posted July 5, 2008 #4 Share Posted July 5, 2008 Ditto packed tape. The airlines will pull them off.
bigred4770 Posted July 5, 2008 Author #5 Share Posted July 5, 2008 Clear packing tape! Excellent idea! Do you know if I need to put that in my checked luggage or can it go in a carryon for the airport?
mytee4ever Posted July 5, 2008 #6 Share Posted July 5, 2008 Are the "old-style" color tags available at the pier? They make a fun addition to the scrapbook. Towanda
krissy72 Posted July 5, 2008 #7 Share Posted July 5, 2008 I use clear packing tape to cover my whole tag so they won't rip.

You will have no problem taking tape in your carryon.
