What ID is needed for an (all USA port) Hawaiian cruise on NCL?

Hi all,

 

My brother and his wife are going on an NCL cruise in Hawaii. They will be flying from Ohio to Hawaii and sailing only in the United States. They were told that they only need their driver's licence as ID. Does this sound right? I've never heard of a cruise that did not require at least the driver's licence AND the birth certificate. But then we've always cruised Caribbean and Canada.

 

Should I be telling them to double check this info?

All they need is the picture ID. A license is fine. It's the same requirement as flying domestically. They will not be leaving the US, so no additional ID is required.
