Riffraff Posted July 9, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 9, 2008 When Regal Princess became Pacific Dawn they replaced all the blankets with doonas..and now, I was reading on another cruise-related site, P&O Australia have donated the blankets to the winter appeal of Matthew Talbot Homeless Services, part of St Vincent de Pauls. They are being distributed to needy families to keep warm this winter. I think that was a great idea.
cloakndagger Posted July 9, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 9, 2008 When they change the mattresses, they also get donated to the needy on the islands. It's a shame that most people only hear of the things that go wrong with P&O and not some of the great stuff they do.
gizzigoo Posted July 9, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 9, 2008 This is so nice to hear that. Thanks so much for sharing it:D I was just saying to someone that the negative about P&O always seems to come out in the media, but rarely the positive. There is quite a lot of positive that they do.
