Weather in San Juan in January

Recommended Posts

I was wondering the same thing! We are thinking of sailing the Liberty in January of '09 and we will also be stopping in San Juan but at night, so I was wondering if it gets chilly...

We are taking a cruise to the Eastern Carribbean in January of 09, we will hit San Juan, St. Maartin, and St. Thomas.

My question is will the weather still feel nice for short and capri's? Will the water feel warm?

Any advice is appreciated!

The coldest you'll see here at night in the city in the "winter" is maybe 70F. Up where we are in the mountains we see maybe 65F. It's always warmer down at sea level.

I wear shorts year-round ... so when it gets down to 65 that's cold for me ... brrrr! LOL

So depending on the weather you left behind at home ... it will be HOT for you here.

Is the ocean warm enough to swim in? yup ... year 'round. Though you won't see many locals at the beach in months that have an "R" in them. That's still considered too cold locally.

Pack your shorts and tee shirts, you'll be comfortable.
