Store near Miami Port

The Downtown Liquor store is on 2nd and Flagler, across the street from the Walgreens. Are you staying near the port? If not, there would be more convenient shopping areas between the airport and the port. You can't walk from the store to the pier.

Thanks for your response. We are flying in the day of cruise so I am looking foe something on the way to the pier or near the pier so I can get off ship and go to.

There isn't anything you really can walk to from the pier. The road to the pier from downtown isn't really too safe for walking. (traffic) Your best bet would to have the cab driver stop somewhere and wait while you shop before you hit the port. otherwise, you'll have to find another cab once you get on the ship. It'd be easier to do right from the airport.

is walgreens near holiday inn?

do they sell liquor,beer, soda?

If you are talking about the Port of Miami Holiday Inn, yes, the Walgreens is about 4 blocks away. * The Walgreens doesn't sell liquor and beer, but the liquor store is right across the street from Walgreens.

*Turn right out of front door at HI. Go 2 blocks to Flagler St. Turn right and go up about 2 blocks. You'll see the Walgreens on the left and Downtown Liquor on the right.

I'd check with the concierge for the closest grocery store.

Bayside has a huge indoor food mall where you can buy meals relatively inexpensively. I'd check that out before cabbing it to a store and making my own meals. You are on vacation....take it easy;)

Now you have done it. I was not excited about our cruises yet, but looking at your pictures made it all so real, and now I won't be worth a flip for the next couple of months.:)

Thanks for the info.

I looked at your pictures again, which are great, but I didn't see any of the room at the Holiday Inn. Do you have any, and what was your impression. We are booked in a suite.

Thanks

We were upgraded to a suite at HI in January. It was okay. Large with living room, small kitchenette area with micro and wet bar. Bedroom and bath. Nice view of the port. I wouldn't call it upscale. Just a larger (than needed) area, for a one night stay. Wouldn't pay for it at this hotel. Especially for a one night stay.
