TA Reduced Rates

Hey..are there any TA's out there who know if RCL offers ANY TA rates during June on the mega ships? We're just trying to figure out a way to go on AOS without spending lots of money like we did last year. Any thoughts??? Thanks!

Well, I AM a TA and I DO have a CLIA and IATA card. I am referrencing if anyone knows if LAST YEAR did they offer any TA reduced rates on the megaships in June. You don't find out about these until about 2 weeks before the cruse. I just want to know what they had LAST YEAR so I would know what to expect this year.

there are actually 2 types of travel agent reduced rates.

 

1. space available - which, like you saide is only available 1-2 weeks prior and is the cheapest a

 

2. confirmed space, that you can make anytime

 

I would suggest calling rccl as they would know definatly if it is available on that sailing

Sorry...I am an outside agent and I've never done this before. I couldn't get an answer from RCL, so I thought that someone here might know the answer, as the people on this board know a lot and I've relied on their answers. I really had not idea that this would be upsetting to anyone.

 

So I'm sorry if I offended anyone, but I don't really understand how this could be deemed inappropriate. I do apologize for that.

It's too bad that, as a TA, you're not allowed to list your e-mail address in your signature. If you could, maybe a TA with knowledge or experience with how things went last year, could answer your question in an e-mail, thereby not offending anyone.

You should be able to get the info from your host agency. They receive updated information weekly. If not from them, then from RCCL's sales department.

Last summer...As I recall,TA rates in June where unavailable through RCI on any Voyager Class ships.

Availability was limited to Sovereign and Vision Class until September.

Wow... I work in a retail store and I get a 10-20% discount. Is it wrong to mention it? No. Would I tell customer that? No, but this is a public forum where you aren't even allowed to mention the agency you work for.

 

I would think TA's would also get an "employee" discount of sorts.

I am a person who knows about last year and the year before that, etc. And sadly, this entire thread is loaded with misinformation. (Pieshops -- did you just make up your reply off the top of your head?) No one should pay attention to any of it. Except the part where it is advised that this is an inappropriate topic for a cruise critic board.
